Ryan Slattery (North Andover, Mass.) of the Saint Anselm College men's lacrosse team has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Defensive Player of the Year as part of the conference's annual All-Conference release.

Colby Goodchild (Reading, Mass.) collected All-Rookie Team honors, capping nine Saint Anselm student-athletes on the All-Conference rosters.
The Hawks posted a 15-12 win over Pace in the First Round of the conference postseason, advancing the team into the Semifinal Round for the third consecutive season. Saint Anselm owns a 9-3 overall record and closed the conference schedule with a 7-3 record. The Hawks, who are the fifth-seed for the NE10 Men's Lacrosse Championship and are currently ranked no. 12 in the most recent United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division II National Poll, will meet the top-ranked team in the NE10 and in the USILA poll in Le Moyne College on Wednesday, May 3 from Syracuse, N.Y. for a spot in the NE10 Championship game.
Slattery becomes the first Saint Anselm men's lacrosse student-athlete in program history to be named the conference's Defensive Player of the Year twice. The senior began the season as a three-time Preseason All-America selection and is fourth on the Hawks roster with 12 caused turnovers. Slattery has been credited with 24 ground balls to date this season. Slattery and the Saint Anselm defense are holding opponents to an average of 8.62 goals-against per game which is fourth best in the NE10.
In 45 games on the Hilltop, Slattery has four assists for four points. He has collected 104 ground balls and caused 66 turnovers which ranks third all-time. The senior is averaging 1.47 caused turnovers per game which is also third most in team annals. Slattery needs just six caused turnovers to move into a tie for second in program history in that category.
Noah Larsen is tied for the Hawks lead in points at 34, coming from 19 goals and a team-high 15 assists. Larsen was selected to the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association All-New England Team prior to the start of the season. The junior has been credited with 25 ground ball pickups and one caused turnover through 12 games played this season. Larsen registered a career-high six points on two goals and four helpers against Franklin Pierce on Apr. 5.
An NE10 All-Tournament Team selection in 2022, Larsen has scored 55 goals and assisted on 44 others for 99 career points in 39 games played as a member of the men's lacrosse squad. Larsen's 99 points currently rank 24th on the all-time leaderboard. The junior has been credited with 47 ground balls and caused two turnovers while netting three game-winning goals.
Harvey, who collected his first career NE10 Defensive Player of the Week honors earlier this season, collected one of the two First Team short stick midfielder slots. The senior has scored two goals and assisted on one other for three points in 12 games played this season. Harvey also has caused seven turnovers and collected a career-high 27 ground balls to aid the Hawks defensive efforts.
Harvey, a Preseason All-America Honorable Mention from Inside Lacrosse, has netted four goals and added four assists for eight points in 41 career games for Saint Anselm. The senior has scooped up 62 ground balls and caused 23 turnovers in his time on the Hilltop.
Nick Larsen has scored nine goals and assisted on 10 others for 19 points in nine games played in 2023. The junior, who was a Preseason All-America Honorable Mention from Inside Lacrosse, has caused two turnovers and collected 13 ground balls from the midfield this season. Larsen has gone for four points in two separate contests, one of which was a season-opening win over Saint Rose on Mar. 1 where the junior netted one goal and assisted on three others.
In 38 career games as a member of the men's lacrosse program, Larsen has scored 37 goals and assisted on 60 others for 97 points, needing just three points to reach 100 for his collegiate career. He is tied for 25th in all-time points. Larsen's 1.58 assists per game average is third best in team annals.
Bonavita, a two-time Preseason All-America Honorable Mention in 2023, has been an instrumental piece to the Hawks defense that owns a +5.13 scoring differential this season, which is second best in the NE10. The senior has scooped up 13 ground balls and caused six turnovers through 11 games played, all of which are starts.
The senior has appeared in 45 games for the Hawks on defense and has collected 77 ground balls while causing 31 turnovers. Bonavita was credited with three ground balls in a loss to Le Moyne on Mar. 18, which was the most in a single game this season to date for the senior.
Andrews collected All-America Third Team from the USA Lacrosse Magazine and was an Honorable Mention from Inside Lacrosse, prior to the start of the 2023 season. The senior is tied for the Hawks lead with 34 points on a team-high 30 goals, which is 14th most in the conference. Andrews has added four helpers for the Saint Anselm offense through 12 games played this season.
Andrews has netted 108 goals and added 23 assists for 131 career points through 46 games played. The senior reached both the 100-goals and 100-points marks this season. Andrews ranks second in program history with 18 man-up goals, third in goals per game at 2.35, and tied for fourth in game-winning goals with five.
Claflin has scored 12 goals and assisted on five others for 17 points in his first season on the Hilltop. The freshman made his collegiate debut on Mar. 1 against Saint Rose and later netted his first college goals against Bentley on Mar. 11. Claflin has scored two goals in four games this season and posted a career-high three assists in a win over Franklin Pierce on Apr. 5.
Gannon ranks second on the Hawks roster in ground balls (38), faceoff wins (70), and faceoffs taken (126), while ranking third in faceoff win percentage (0.556). The freshman has also scored two goals in his first collegiate season. Gannon made his collegiate debut on Mar. 1 against Saint Rose and scored his first college goal and posted season-highs in faceoff wins (15) and in ground balls (8) in that contest.
Goodchild appeared in six games for the Hawks in his freshman campaign as a defensive midfielder, causing one turnover and collecting eight ground balls in 2023. Goodchild made his collegiate debut on Mar. 1 against Saint Rose and later grabbed a season-high three ground balls at Le Moyne on Mar. 18.
