MANSFIELD, Mass. – Senior Will Harvey (Franklin, Mass.) of the nationally-ranked Saint Anselm College men's lacrosse team has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.

The Hawks improved to 2-0 on the season with a 17-6 non-conference win over No. 18 Bentley on Mar. 11.

Harvey netted his first goal of the season, which gave the Hawks a 4-2 lead at the time, in Saturday's win. Harvey collected six ground balls, which was the second most on the squad. Harvey matched a game-high with two caused turnovers for the Hawks defense.

Through the first two games of the 2023 season, Harvey has netted one goal and assisted on one other for two points. Harvey is second on the team with eight ground balls and is tied for fourth with two caused turnovers.

The senior is collecting the Defensive Player of the Week honor for the first time in his career. Harvey has appeared in 31 career games and has score three goals and assisted on four others for seven points. Harvey has scooped up 43 ground balls and caused 18 turnovers in his time on the Hilltop.

Harvey and the Hawks will head to the top ranked program in Division II, Le Moyne College, for a NE10 battle on Saturday, Mar. 18. The rematch of the 2022 NCAA First Round game is slated for a 1 p.m. start.
