- The Sharks dominated possession in the first half of the second period outshooting Saint Anselm by a 14-4 margin. Seniors Tommy Schwartz (Ridgefield, Conn.) and Liam Lyons (Gloucester, Mass.) each registered shots that were blocked while Christensen forced a save from Shark goaltender Rico DiMatteo. Saint Anselm was able to kill a late Long Island power play after allowing just four shots featuring blocks from junior Chase Reynolds (Middletown, Conn.) and Christensen to keep the score at 2-1 at the end of the second period.
- Once again, the Sharks began the third period by controlling the puck and posting 10 consecutive shots in the opening six minutes of play. Approaching the halfway mark of the period, sophomore Alex Hoitt (East Bridgewater, Mass.) ripped a shot that deflected back in front of the net where freshman Patrick DeMarinis (Manasquan, N.J.) was ready to slip the puck past DiMatteo to tie the game at 2-2.
