GARDEN CITY, N.Y. - The nationally-ranked No. 23 Saint Anselm College women's soccer team was defeated by nationally-ranked No. 15 Adelphi University by a final score of 1-0 on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Saint Anselm started the match with two quick shots on goal, one by senior Olivia Gotobed (North Andover, Mass.) and the second from junior Erin Rutherford (Ashburnham, Mass.). Both were denied by Adelphi goalkeeper Krista Aliscio.
- Hawks freshman goalkeeper Maggie Warner (Saugus, Mass.) tallied her first save of the game 11 minutes before halftime, stopping a shot from Dylann Trahey of the Panthers.
- Neither side found the back of the net in the opening 45 minutes and headed into halftime scoreless.
- Adelphi opened the scoring 61 minutes into the match when Julia Craig beat Warner for the game's only goal off an assist from Kayleigh Goodrich.
- The Hawks could not get their offense going late and would be shutout by the Panthers for a final score of 1-0.
