WINTHROP, Mass. - Freshman
Julianna Herman (The Pas, Manitoba, Canada) has earned the New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA) Rookie of the Week for the first time in her career, as announced by the league on Tuesday.
The first year blue-liner registered the first points of her collegiate career last Saturday in Saint Anselm's first win of the season, a 7-3 victory over Assumption University. She tallied her first collegiate point with an assist on the first Hawks goal of the game in the first period before lighting the lamp twice herself in the second and third period to finish the game with three points.
Herman also earned an honor roll spot for the NEWHA Player of the Week award. Her teammate, junior
Annabella Lalande (Lachute, Quebec, Canada), also earned a place on the league's honor roll for Goaltender of the Week.
