The Hawks posted a 19-7 win over American International College on Mar. 26, improving to 5-1 on the season and remaining unbeaten in NE10 contests. After meeting the Penmen in the Queen City Cup battle, the Hawks return home to host No. 3 Adelphi University on Saturday, Apr. 2.
The Penmen posted a 16-15 win over Franklin Pierce University on Mar. 26 which brings them to 4-1 on the season and 2-1 in conference play. After hosting the Hawks, Southern New Hampshire heads to No. 14 Pace University for a 12 p.m. contest with the Setters.
Currently, the Penmen hold a 15-9 advantage in the 2021-22 Queen City Cup standings with the baseball, softball, and women's lacrosse programs still to meet this spring. The full standings breakdown can be found

SCOUTING SAINT ANSELM
- Senior Taylor Cobain (Smithfield, R.I.) netted a season-high five goals to lead the Saint Anselm offense in the win over the Yellow Jackets. Junior Lexi Palmisano (Woburn, Mass.) added three goals while sophomore Jess Sullivan (Wrentham, Mass.), and senior Olivia Smyrnios (Lynnfield, Mass.) scored two goals each.
- Sullivan leads the Saint Anselm offense with 29 points, coming from 16 goals and 13 assists. Sullivan currently ranks second on the Hawks in goals and is tied for the team lead in assists. Compared to the NE10, Sullivan is sixth in points, tied for third in assists, and tied for 18th in goals.
- Palmisano leads the conference in scoring with 27 goals. The junior snapped a four-game stretch of five or more goals against American International. Palmisano also ranks second on the team and is tied for seventh in the conference in points (27).
- Senior Annie Richards (Reading, Mass.) went for seven assists against the Yellow Jackets and now has 82 career assists which is the most in women's lacrosse program history. Richards is averaging 1.78 assists per game in 46 career games on the Hilltop which is also the highest in program history.
- Richards is tied with Sullivan for most assists on the Hawks this season and is tied for third in the conference in helpers.
- Senior Grace Young (Merrimack, N.H.) stopped nine of 16 shots on goal in the win over the Yellow Jackets and is now 5-1 on the season. The senior goalkeeper ranks second in the conference in save percentage at .536 and is third in goals-against average at 8.08. On the national scale, Young has the fourth-best save percentage.
- Young has stopped the sixth-most shots on goal in the women's lacrosse program history with 216. She trails Allee Ramzi '15 by 40 saves for fifth all-time.
- Young and freshman Elizabeth Driscoll (Marblehead, Mass.) have combined for a .559 save percentage which is second best in all of NCAA Division II.
- Senior McKenzie Robinson (Mont Vernon, N.H.) leads the Hawks with 28 draw controls this season while Palmisano has collected 21. As a team, Saint Anselm has grabbed 82 draws through six games in 2022.
- The Hawks have outscored opponents by a 97-45 margin this season. Saint Anselm is averaging 32.3 shots per game while allowing 23.0. In free position chances, the Hawks are 16-43, good for a .372 success rate.
SCOUTING SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE
- After holding a 15-11 lead with 11:11 remaining in the game against Franklin Pierce, the Ravens would score four of the game's final five goals to bring the score to 16-15. After Franklin Pierce scored three consecutive goals, Shelby Cole regained the two-goal Penmen lead with 3:21 to go, proving to the be the game-winning tally.
- Cole leads the Penmen in goals, assists, and points (15-9=24). Cole went for five goals and added five assists for 10 points against Franklin Pierce.
- Skylar Renaud tied a game-high with six goals and added an assist for seven points against the Ravens. Renaud is second on Southern New Hampshire with 14 goals and 17 points.
- Caela McCartney has started all five games for the Penmen this season. She is 3-1 with a .347 save percentage and a 13.05 goals-against average. Hayle Ashford has made three appearances in 2022 and has one win with a .462 save percentage and a 10.35 goals-against average.
- Alexis DeLucia leads the Penmen with 22 draw controls while Cole and Renaud rank second and third with 15 and 14 draw controls each. Southern New Hampshire has grabbed 72 draw controls this season.
- The Penmen hold a one-goal edge in scoring as they have scored 63 times while allowing 62 goals. Southern New Hampshire is averaging 31.2 shots per game while allowing 29.4. The team has netted 13 free position goals on 28 shots, good for a .464 make percentage.
ALL-TIME vs. SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE
- Wednesday's matchup will be the 19th in the all-time series between the Hawks and Penmen. Saint Anselm is 10-8 against Southern New Hampshire.
- The Hawks grabbed a 19-10 win over the Penmen on Apr. 15, 2021, marking the last meeting between the programs. Sophomore Alison Ferullo (North Andover, Mass.) scored a career-high six times for the Hawks while Palmisano, Sullivan, and Balboni scored two goals each for Saint Anselm.
- This will be the second consecutive meeting at Penmen Stadium. When playing as the away team, the Hawks are 6-4 compared to a 4-4 mark when at home.
- Saint Anselm is riding a five-game win streak when playing at Southern New Hampshire.
