The Hawks skated to a 4-4 tie on Feb. 1 at Stonehill, pushing Saint Anselm to 8-9-2 on the season and 5-4-2 in conference play. Four student-athletes netted goals for the Hawks, who closed their three-game set against Stonehill with a 1-0-2 record. After the two games with Assumption, Saint Anselm hosts Franklin Pierce University on Friday, Feb. 11 and Saturday, Feb. 12 before playing three contests in a week to conclude the regular season.
The Greyhounds fell in overtime to Worcester State on Feb. 2 by a 7-6 score, concluding the squad's non-conference slate. Assumption is 9-8-1 overall and 6-3-0 against the league. After the weekend series with Saint Anselm, the Greyhounds head to Southern New Hampshire University on Friday, Feb. 11 before hosting the Penmen on Saturday, Feb. 12.

SCOUTING SAINT ANSELM
- Sophomore Jac Cordeiro (Barnstable, Mass.), freshman Mark Blaney (Braintree, Mass.), freshman Hunter Brackett (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.), and junior Mark Leach (Londonderry, N.H.) all found the twine for the Hawks last time out at Stonehill.
- Junior alternate captain Andrew Andary (Macomb, Mich.) leads the NE10 in points (29) and assists (16) while ranking second with 13 goals. Andary has recorded at least one point in 14 of 19 games played this season.
- Sophomore Tommy Schwartz (Ridgefield, Conn.) sits in second on the Hawks in goals (8), assists (10), and points (18). Schwartz recorded the secondary assist on Leach's goal which tied the score at four in the third period.
- Brackett's goal on Tuesday marked the first of his collegiate career joining Cordeiro, Blaney, and Leach who all netted their career firsts this season.
- Junior netminder Nick Howard (Burlington, Mass.) has compiled 482 saves this season which is second most in the NE10. Howard also ranks second in goals-against average (2.93) and fourth in save percentage (.903).
- The Hawks currently sit in third in the NE10 standings with 16 points and a .545 win percentage. Saint Anselm trails Assumption by one point but the Greyhounds have two less conference games played than the Hawks.
SCOUTING ASSUMPTION
- Dante Maribito and Robert Holyoke got the Greyhounds out to a 3-0 lead early in the second period against Worcester State but the remaining five goals would alternate between the teams, ending two periods with Assumption leading 5-3. After a quick strike to open the third by Maribito, Worcester State would score four unanswered goals, including the game-winner just 57 seconds into overtime to hand Assumption a 7-6 loss.
- Devan Sheth ranks third in the NE10 in goals scored with 12 while Colin Philippon and Holyoke are tied for fourth with nine each.
- Holyoke has recorded a helper on 12 goals this season which is fourth most in the conference. His 21 points is fourth in the league.
- Sheth and Maribito rank second and third on the team in points with 18 and 16 respectively.
- David Altman has started 12 games for Assumption. He is 6-3-1 on the season with a .916 save percentage and a 3.13 goals-against average. He ranks second in the conference in save percentage while is third in goals against.
ALL-TIME vs. ASSUMPTION
- The weekend series marks the 44th and 45th meetings in the all-time series. Saint Anselm is 31-9-3 against Assumption.
- The teams met for the first time this season on Jan. 11 from Worcester, Mass. as the Greyhounds grabbed a 2-1 win. Sophomore Will Christensen (Ridgefield, Conn.) opened the scoring for the Hawks late in the first period with Schwartz and Andary recording assists on the goal. However, Assumption netted two goals in 28 seconds in the third period to take the lead and eventually the contest.
- The Hawks' first-ever game came against Assumption on Dec. 6, 1969, resulting in a 4-2 win for the Greyhounds.
- Three of the last six meetings have gone to overtime and four of them have been decided by one goal or less. The teams are 2-2-2 in that stretch.
