The Purple Knights opened the scoring in the seventh minute as

Brian Underhill (Westford, Mass.) on his right side and into the bottom left of the goal.
Assantha and the Hawks would tie the match at one in the 37th minute as Silverstein found Verow who quickly sent a cross toward the goal. The pass was deflected and headed home by Assantha to even the match.
Saint Michael's regained its lead 67th minute on a free kick by
Amos Schramm. The Hawks were whistled for a foul just outside their own 18-yard box and Schramm sent a low arcing kick that went around the wall in front of Underhill and into the bottom right corner of the goal.
In search of an equalizer, the Hawks fired five shots, three of which were Purple Knights goalkeeper
Liam Barrett. However, he stopped all three of the shot attempts to preserve the 2-1 win for Saint Michael's.
The Purple Knights were awarded eight corner kicks to five for the Hawks and held a 21-16 edge in shots including a 9-7 advantage in shots on target.
Underhill stopped seven shots on goal for the Hawks while Barrett made six saves for Saint Michael's.
