MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College women's tennis team was toppled by the visiting Chargers from the University of New Haven on Sunday, 7-0, at the Derryfield School.

Saint Anselm has been blanked in each of its three matches to date (0-3) and falls to 0-1 following the Northeast-10 Conference loss. New Haven opens its 2021 schedule with a 1-0 record in overall and league play.

The Hawks took just two games in doubles play for the second consecutive match, falling behind early. The Chargers maintained complete control throughout singles action with the closest match of the afternoon coming at No. 6 singles – freshman Abigail Svor (Lewiston, Maine) battled to a 6-3, 6-2 loss.

Saint Anselm will travel to Plymouth State University on Thursday, Sept. 16 at 3:30 p.m. The Hawks will host NCAA Division I Holy Cross on Saturday, Sept. 18 at 1 p.m.
