CLEVELAND – Saint Anselm College student-athletes representing 14 of the institution's varsity sports teams were recognized on Tuesday by the Division 2 Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA) as recipients of the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Awards.

In order to receive the accolade, a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, have attended a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college-level work and have been an active member of an intercollegiate team during his/her last academic year. In addition, the institution's athletic director must be a dues-paying member of the D2 ADA.

Field hockey had five student-athletes named to the list with men's and women's soccer each producing three recognized scholars. 1,181 student-athletes on the list hailed from the Northeast-10 Conference and cumulatively, 16,164 individuals were selected from 187 Division II institutions.

Zach Elliot (Manchester, N.H.) of the Hawks men's soccer team and Grace Guachione (Pittsfield, Mass.) are now three-time winners of the D2 ADA accolade.
