EASTON, Mass. – The Saint Anselm College women's tennis team was blanked by regionally-ranked Stonehill College on Sunday, 4-0.
The Hawks fall to 0-6 on the year overall and against Northeast-10 Conference opponents. Stonehill (5-2, 5-2 NE10) is the eighth-ranked team in the East Region, according to the most recent Oracle/ITA Division II regional rankings.
The Skyhawks picked up the doubles point with 6-0 victories at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. Stonehill also picked up quick victories at No. 4 and No. 5 singles, posting 6-0, 6-0 wins, before the Skyhawks locked down a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 6 singles to clinch the match.
Saint Anselm will play its next three matches on the road, starting this Friday, Apr. 16 at Saint Michael's. The first serve is slated for 3 p.m.
