MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Saint Anselm College women's basketball team will play its final home game of 2021 on Friday, Dec. 10. The Hawks host Felician at 6 p.m. in Stoutenburgh Gymnasium.

Last time out, Saint Anselm secured a 67-55 victory over Stonehill on Sunday, Dec. 5. In that contest, senior Peyton Steinman (Pittsfield, Mass.) scored a career-high 40 points and cracked the program's top-10 list for career scoring. The game was a rematch of the 2020 Northeast-10 Conference Championship game, won by Stonehill.
Felician lost its first four games of the season, extending a season-spanning losing streak to 17 games. However, the Golden Falcons have rallied to win four in a row and carry a .500 winning percentage into Friday's non-league action.
Fans attending Friday's game are expected to familiarize themselves with the College's spectator and ticketing policies.
SCOUTING SAINT ANSELM
- With her 40-point performance against Stonehill, Steinman now ranks ninth all-time in team history with 1,354 career points. Against the Skyhawks, Steinman was 13-for-22 from the floor and made four treys, racking up a career-high 40 points to trail only Rachel Jackson '85 and her record 43 points against Dartmouth on Nov. 28, 1984.
- No other Hawks women's basketball student-athletes, other than Jackson and Steinman, have broken 40 points. At one point in the game, Steinman scored 29 points in a row for the Hawks in the third and fourth quarters. In the second half alone, Steinman finished with 31 of her team's 39 points as just two other student-athletes had field goals for Saint Anselm.
- With her 10 free throws made against Stonehill, Steinman set the all-time program record for makes in a career with 382. She passed the original record established by Addie Stiles '99 of 381 and ranks third all-time with an 84.0% free throw percentage in her career.
- Steinman is averaging exactly 14.0 points per game for Saint Anselm across 97 career games on the Hilltop. She is one of just 10 student-athletes to have made more than 100 three-point baskets in her career.
- A proficient rebounder, Steinman needs just four more caroms for 600 in her career. She is averaging north of six rebounds per tilt in her 97-game career.
- Saint Anselm leads the NE10 in free throws made (117) as a team and the squad's .796 free throw percentage is third in the conference. The Hawks boast a turnover margin of 1.62 as well, ranking fourth in the NE10.
- Steinman is joined by sophomore Gabby Turco (Wildwood, N.J.) in the NE10's top 10 performers in points per game. Steinman is averaging 18.8 per contest through eight games while Turco, in her debut season, is putting up 15.8 points per game.

- Felician, picked sixth in the North Division of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, was 0-11 in the 2020-21 campaign after posting a 4-22 mark in the full season of 2019-20. The Golden Falcons are in search of their first victory over an NE10 opponent since Dec. 30, 2011 – the Chargers from the University of New Haven fell to Felician by a 76-66 margin.
- Briana Lee leads the team with exactly 17 points per game, shooting 37.7% from the floor (43-for-114) and making just shy of 75% of her shots from the free throw line. She is hauling in exactly 14 rebounds per game while playing 32.4 minutes per game, on average.
- Lee is the reigning Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association Women's Division II/III Player of the Week after posting 22 points with a career-high 21 rebounds against Bloomfield. She later added 22 points and nine caroms against Dominican (N.Y.).
- Freshman Courtney Logan was named the CACC's Rookie of the Week on Tuesday. She posted 14 fourth-quarter points in the victory over Dominican and, at one point, struck for 10 consecutive points for Felician.
- The Golden Falcons shot 30.6% from the floor against Bloomfield on Dec. 1, but made 25 free throws en route to a 69-63 victory.
- Felician joined NCAA Division II prior to the 2002-03 campaign.
ALL-TIME vs. FELICIAN
- Saint Anselm and Felician have played in four games entering play on Friday, with each institution claiming two victories. The Hawks have won two straight in the all-time series after the Golden Falcons won the first two meetings.
- The last time the two teams met was on Dec. 20, 2015 at Felician. The Hawks came away with a 68-50 victory just one year after winning by a 63-49 margin in Stoutenburgh Gymnasium.
- Felician's first two wins in the series came during the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons. In the first battle in Stoutenburgh Gymnasium on Nov. 20, 2010, Felician limited the Hawks to 31 points in a 15-point victory.
