The Hawks played to a 3-3 tie with Stonehill College on Nov. 12 before capturing a 3-2 win against the Skyhawks after dedicating the 2021-22 season to
Dan Kelly '86. The Hawks are now 4-0-1 on the season and 1-0-1 in Northeast-10 Conference play. After heading to The Ice Den in nearby Hooksett, N.H. and hosting the Amcats, the Hawks host Long Island University on Tuesday, Nov. 23 in their final home game until Friday, Jan. 28.
The Penmen captured a pair of wins over Post University on Nov. 12 and Nov.13, improving to 4-1-0 overall and 3-0-0 in NE10 action. Southern New Hampshire heads to Stonehill on Saturday, Nov. 20 to conclude its weekend contests. The team heads to Colby College on Tuesday, Nov. 23 before hosting the Stovepipe Invitational on Saturday, Nov. 27 and Sunday, Nov. 28.
The Amcats split their weekend series with SUNY Canton, recording their first win of the 2021-22 campaign on Nov. 13 by a 1-0 score. After coming to the Hilltop, Anna Maria heads to Worcester State in its second game of a five game road trip.
Fans attending the game at The Ice Den are expected to familiarize themselves with the Southern New Hampshire

SCOUTING SAINT ANSELM
- The Hawks remain unbeaten through their first five games of the season, which is the longest streak since the 2004-05 team opened the season with a 12-game unbeaten streak. Saint Anselm won its first three games which only two other teams had done in the program's history.
- Senior Kevin Ouellette (Arlington, Mass.) was named the NE10 Conference Player of the Week after scoring his first and second goals of the season against Stonehill. Ouellette is third on the team in goals while junior Andrew Andary (Macomb, Mich.) and sophomore Thomas Schwartz (Ridgefield, Conn.) are the team leaders with four goals each. The Hawks have found the back of the net 17 times, coming from 10 different players.
- Seniors Kilian Hammersmith (Glen Ellyn, Ill.) and Trevor Hott (Idaho Falls, Idaho) and junior Matt Hayes (Salem, N.H.) are tied for the team lead with four helpers each. 13 different Hawks have recorded an assist this season.
- Junior Nick Howard (Burlington, Mass.) has been named the NE10 Goaltender of the Week twice in three weeks this season. Howard has a 1.57 goals against average and a .941 save percentage, both are second in the conference. He has accumulated 128 saves through five starts which is third highest in the league.
- Saint Anselm is converting with the extra skater at 13.6% (3-22). The Hawks are killing penalties at an 84% rate, allowing four goals in 25 penalty kill situations. Saint Anselm is averaging 3.4 goals per game while limiting opponents to 1.6 goals per game.
SCOUTING SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE
- The Penmen fell to Rivier University to open the season but have since rattled off four wins, outscoring opponents 18-4 in the wins. In those four wins, Southern New Hampshire has downed two NE10 foes in Franklin Pierce University and Post.
- George Thurston leads the conference with seven goals scored this season. Thurston was named the NE10 Player of the Week once this season. Five other Penmen have netted two goals each.
- Jake Cox is the conference leader with eight helpers on the season. He and Thurston are tied for the conference lead with 10 points each. Cole Stewart is second on the team with five assists.
- Adam Mercer has drawn three starts in goal for Southern New Hampshire. He has a league low 1.50 goals against average and the highest save percentage at .951. Mercer has made 97 saves on the season. JT Kossakowski has started the other two games for the Penmen and has a 3.04 goals against average and a .881 save percentage.
- Southern New Hampshire has recorded 11 power play goals in 28 extra man opportunities. They have allowed four goals while being shorthanded on 27 occasions. The team is averaging 4.4 goals per game while allowing 2.0 goals per game.
SCOUTING ANNA MARIA
- The Amcats played to a pair of 3-3 ties in the Woo Cup Championship to open the season, posting shootout win over Assumption before falling to Nichols, also in a shootout. The team suffered losses to Skidmore College, Plymouth State University, and SUNY Canton before grabbing its first win of the season over SUNY Canton, splitting the Nov. 12 and Nov. 13 weekend series.
- Michael Padgeon and Colby Wolter are tied for the team lead with three goals each. Anna Maria has found the back of the net 11 times this season.
- Wolter and Cam Tobey have two helpers each to lead the team. 11 other student-athletes have recorded one assist through six games.
- Julius Huset has drawn four starts in goals for the Amcats. He has compiled 129 saves which is good for a .915 save percentage. Huset also holds a 2.89 goals against average.
- Anna Maria has scored four goals on 35 power play chances while allowing seven power play goals against.
ALL-TIME vs. SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE
- This will be the 48th meeting between the Hawks and Penmen. Saint Anselm is 37-9-1 against Southern New Hampshire all-time.
- During the 2019-20 season, the teams met three times with the Penmen collecting a 4-3 win on Nov. 22. The teams split a weekend home-and-home series on Feb. 21 and Feb. 22 with Southern New Hampshire logging a 3-1 win before the Hawks grabbed a 4-2 win in the regular season finale.
- Saint Anselm opened the all-time series with a 15-game unbeaten streak spanning from Nov. 13, 1981 to Feb. 7, 2006.
- Prior to the Hawks 2019-20 regular season finale victory, the Penmen won the previous four matchups, marking their longest win streak in the series.
ALL-TIME vs. ANNA MARIA
- The first and only meeting to date in the all-time series came on Jan. 4, 2020, resulting in a 4-2 win for the Amcats from Sullivan Arena.
