The Hawks have begun the 2021-22 season with a 3-0 record, becoming one of just three teams in team history to accomplish a perfect start through the opening three games. The Hawks join the 1974-75 and 2008-09 teams as the only teams to achieve the 3-0 start. After hosting the Skyhawks, Saint Anselm heads to Queen City Cup rival Southern New Hampshire on Friday, Nov. 19 before hosting Anna Maria on Saturday, Nov. 20 in a non-conference contest.

The Skyhawks posted a pair of NE10 wins on Nov. 5 at Assumption and Nov. 6 against Franklin Pierce by 5-4 and 5-3 scores, respectively. The team improved to 2-2 on the season with a 2-0 mark in league matches. Stonehill has a quick turnaround as it heads to Framingham State University on Tuesday, Nov. 16 before returning home to host Southern New Hampshire on Saturday, Nov. 20.

SCOUTING SAINT ANSELM
- The Hawks are looking to be the first team in program history to start the season 4-0 after posting wins over Rivier, Castleton, and Worcester State to begin its schedule.
- Junior alternate captain Andrew Andary (Macomb, Mich.) leads the team with four goals and five points. Andary scored the eventual game-winner against Rivier before notching a goal against Castleton and a pair against Worcester State. Sophomore Thomas Schwartz (Ridgefield, Conn.) has found the back of the net in all three games.
- Senior co-captain Kilian Hammersmith (Glen Ellyn, Ill.) is the team leader with four assists through three games. Junior Matt Hayes (Salem, N.H.) follows closely with three assists. The Hawks top line of Andary, Hayes, and Hammersmith has combined for five goals and eight assists for 13 points.
- Junior Nick Howard (Burlington, Mass.) has been awarded the NE10 Goaltender of the Week for the second consecutive week. The last time a Hawks student-athlete has gone back-to-back with a weekly accolade was Alec Andreucci '21, who collected the Rookie of the Week award in consecutive weeks during the 2017-18 season. Howard leads the conference with a 1.00 goals-against average and a .963-save percentage. He is third in total saves at 79.
- The Hawks have converted on 23.1% of their power play chances, registering three goals on 13 opportunities. Saint Anselm has successfully killed 13 of the 14 power-play chances it has allowed.
SCOUTING STONEHILL
- The Skyhawks dropped a pair of non-conference games at the Curry College Tournament, suffering a 1-0 loss to the hosts before falling to UMass Dartmouth by an 8-0 score. Stonehill captured a pair of NE10 wins over Assumption and Franklin Pierce on Nov. 5 and Nov. 6.
- John Peloso leads the team with three goals scored while Mike Seoane sits in second with two. Five other Skyhawks have found the back of the net once this season.
- Seoane, Brendan Nehmer, and Charles Page are tied for the team lead with three assists each. Seoane is the team leader in points with five, stemming from two goals and three assists while Nehmer has four points.
- John Day has drawn three starts for the Skyhawks, compiling 74 saves. He has holds a 3.91 goals-against average and a .892-save percentage. Gavin FitzPatrick made his collegiate debut in his first career start against Franklin Pierce, allowing three goals while making 25 saves.
- Stonehill is converting on its power play chances at a 29.2% rate (7-for-24). The team has allowed 15 power plays and has given up just two goals while shorthanded.
ALL-TIME vs. STONEHILL
- The weekend series will mark the 39th and 40th meetings all-time between the Hawks and Skyhawks. Saint Anselm is 29-5-4 against Stonehill in the series.
- The Skyhawks snapped a nine-match unbeaten streak for Saint Anselm in the last meeting on Feb. 11, 2020, posting a 6-4 win from Lawler Arena on the Merrimack College campus.
- In the 2019-20 season, the teams played to a 1-1-1 record as the Hawks captured a 3-1 win on Nov. 16, 2019 at Stonehill.
- Under Head Coach Larry Rocha '79, the Hawks are 7-1-1 against the Skyhawks.
