The Hawks fell to Le Moyne on Tuesday on a penalty kick goal in the 87th minute. With the loss, Saint Anselm falls to 6-7 on the season with a 3-6 record in NE10 play and ended a two-match win streak. After Adelphi, the Hawks host Southern New Hampshire on Wednesday, Oct. 27 in the final regular season match at Melucci Field for the 2021 season. Saint Anselm heads to Assumption on Wednesday, Nov. 3 in the regular season finale.
The Panthers moved up two spots to the fifth team in the East region and posted a 4-3 overtime win over Bentley on Tuesday. The Panthers improved to 8-3-1 on the season with a 7-1 mark in conference action and pushed their current win-streak to seven matches. After hosting the Hawks, Adelphi has a pair of matches against nationally ranked opponents at American International and against Franklin Pierce before concluding the regular season on Wednesday, Nov. 3 at Saint Rose.

SCOUTING SAINT ANSELM
- The season has been made up of runs for the Hawks as they opened the season with a 4-1 record before falling in their next five to push the record to 4-6. The Hawks won two over Saint Thomas Aquinas and Southern Connecticut to get back to .500 but dipped back under with the loss to Le Moyne.
- Junior Brian Underhill (Westford, Mass.) made seven saves on eight shots on goal in the losing effort. He has played in every minute of every game for Saint Anselm, totaling 54 saves which ranks second in the conference. He has a 1.00 goals against average and a .806 save percentage.
- Saint Anselm mustered just three shots on goal against the Dolphins with chances coming from senior Zach Elliot (Manchester, N.H.) and junior Josue Assantha (Bukavu, Democratic Republic of the Congo). Elliot leads the team with five goals and five assists for 15 points. Assantha has added four goals for the offense. Six other student-athletes have one goal this season.
- Elliot's five assists are tied for fourth in the NE10 while Assantha ranks second on the team with two assists. Four other Hawks have recorded a helper, three of them are their first career points.
- Saint Anselm currently holds the eighth and final NE10 Championship position with a .333-win percentage in conference play. The Hawks are just one of four teams in the conference with nine league matches played.
SCOUTING ADELPHI
- After opening the season 1-2-1, the Panthers fell to Le Moyne in their NE10 opener and have won seven consecutive matches. During the streak, Adelphi has won four matches in overtime including both of its last two, pushing their record to 8-3-1 and 7-1 in the conference.
- Rodrigo Descalzo Rocca scored twice in the second half to tie the contest before Peri Filippo gave the Panthers 3-2 lead in the 83rd minute. Bentley tied the match in the 84th minute, forcing overtime. Paolo Marciano converted on a penalty kick in the 92nd minute to give Adelphi a 4-3 win in overtime. Descalzo Rocca is the conference leader with 11 goals this season.
- Marciano leads the team in assists with eight, which is tied for the conference lead while Greco Francisco sits in the second on the team with four helpers. Descalzo Rocca and Benji Jones have three assists each.
- Daniel De La Heras has started seven matches with a perfect 7-0 record. He holds a 1.24 goals against average and a 0.719-save percentage. Harry Beasley has started five matches in net. He has a goals against average of 2.30 with a 0.571-save percentage, holding a record of 1-3-1.
- Adelphi is tied for second in the conference standings with a 0.875 win percentage and a 7-1 record. They have scored the second-most goals in conference play with 21.
ALL-TIME vs. ADELPHI
- This will be the eighth meeting all-time between the Hawks and Panthers. Adelphi is 6-1 against Saint Anselm.
- The last contest came on Oct. 26, 2019 resulting in a 2-0 win for the Panthers at Melucci Field.
- The Hawks only win in the series came on Oct. 4, 2014 in a 1-0 overtime win at Adelphi. The first meeting came just a year earlier with the Panthers claiming a 1-0 win on the Hilltop.
