Women's soccer adds nine to incoming class

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Head Coach Joel Bancroft of the Saint Anselm College women's soccer program announced a group of eight incoming freshmen and one transfer who will be joining the Hawks next season.

Bancroft, entering his fourth campaign on the Hilltop, welcomes nine new student-athletes looking to fill the roster spots vacated by six senior student-athletes. Since taking over the program in 2017, the Hawks own a 22-18-10 overall record, recording a Northeast-10 Conference postseason appearance in 2018.

"This group brings many qualities with them onto the field," said Bancroft. "The first of which is mindset. This is an incredibly self-motivated, driven and competitive group of student-athletes. The second would be their athleticism or mobility. Their ability to not only cover ground but to do so for longer periods of time will serve them very well at the next level. Lastly, and most importantly, they all not only want to be on the ball but possess the technical quality to break opponents down with the ball at their feet. They are both attack-minded as well as possession oriented."

Saint Anselm finished with a 7-3-7 overall record in 2019, barely missing the NE10 postseason tournament.

"All nine of these student-athletes achieved enormous success both in the classroom as well as on the field of play throughout their youth careers," commented Bancroft. "For all of them to commit to continuing their careers on the Hilltop speaks volumes of the accomplishments of the current members of our program. We want to be a destination for the absolute best student-athletes. This class affirms we are well on our way."

Below is a look at each of the nine student-athletes joining the Hawks' roster.
