MANCHESTER, N.H. - The Saint Anselm College men's basketball program will be hosting its "Suits and Sneakers" game this Thursday, Jan. 25 at 6 p.m. as the Hawks host the New York Institute of Technology in Stoutenburgh Gymnasium.

Head Coach Keith Dickson and staff will wear sneakers along with their typical basketball game-day attire in support of the "Coaches versus Cancer" program, a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches. Visiting NYIT will also participate in the awareness effort.

This initiative leverages the personal experiences, community leadership, and professional excellence of coaches nationwide to increase cancer awareness and promote healthy living through year-round awareness efforts, fundraising activities, and advocacy programs. Since 1993, coaches have raised over $100 million for the American Cancer Society.

Coaches and their staff across the nation wear sneakers with their suits during games to raise awareness and help save lives from cancer by raising funds and encouraging people to educate themselves about cancer prevention, screening, and early detection.

The men's basketball team encourages not only donations to the American Cancer Society, but also to wear your sneakers this Thursday to show your support and unite for a common cause – saving lives from cancer.
