SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Saint Anselm College women's tennis team made it two wins out of two in Northeast-10 Conference play this weekend by edging Le Moyne College 5-4 on Sunday at Skytop Tennis Courts.

Saint Anselm (4-4, 3-4 NE-10) earned doubles victories at the second and third spots and singles wins from Jess Perkins, Caroline Templer and Bridget Keefe to top Le Moyne (2-6, 2-5 NE-10). The trio were each victorious in both singles and doubles play on the day to finish off four-win weekends between singles and doubles.
Perkins and Kaitlin Hughes improved to 8-0 (7-0 NE-10) by virtue of an 8-4 win over Rithika Vajjiravelu and Christina Perry at No. 2 doubles, while Templer and Keefe earned an 8-5 victory against Kim Driesen and Aiello for their second win of the weekend.
Leading 2-1 entering singles, Saint Anselm got a quick 6-1, 6-0 victory from Perkins at the No. 1 spot as she moved to 7-1 (7-1 NE-10) on the season. Templer gave the Hawks their fourth point after a 6-2, 6-4 triump over Kim Driesen at the fifth spot.
The clinching point came from Keefe's 6-2, 7-5 victory over Aiello at No. 6 singles before the Dolphins won the final match on court. Le Moyne picked up straight-set wins at second, third and fourth singles, respectively.
Saint Anselm hosts Stonehill on Thursday, Sept. 29 at 3 p.m. at South Tennis Courts.
