Caly Farina and Jessica Kaufman also scored for Saint Anselm (1-0-0), which will play Stonehill in Saturday's 3 p.m. championship match after the Skyhawks downed Assumption 3-1 in Friday's second game. Saint Michael's (0-1-0) will meet the Greyhounds in the consolation match.
Bonczar got the scoring started in the seventh minute, sending a free kick from the left side into the top-right corner to give the Hawks an early lead.
The score remained 1-0 until Farina scored on her collegiate debut with just over four minutes remaining in the opening half. Following a goal kick, Nicole Rust set up Farina in the middle of the box from the sideline and the freshman tucked the ball away to double the Hawks' lead.
Saint Anselm capped the scoring on Kaufman's 62nd minute goal, as the junior finished off a cross from Bonczar. The Hawks held the Purple Knights without a shot in the second half and outshot the hosts 12-2 in the game.
Cassie Quattropani needed to make just one save in the first half to pick up the win. Elise Bouchard did not face a shot in net in the second half.
The Hawks will look to take home the cup for the first time when they take on Stonehill in the final on Saturday.
