COLCHESTER, Vt. – The Saint Anselm College women's soccer team dropped a narrow 1-0 decision against Stonehill in the championship game of the Catholic Cup on Saturday afternoon at Duffy Field.

Stonehill (2-0) got a goal from Lauren Kapatoes midway through the first half and held Saint Anselm (1-1) to four shots to claim the Catholic Cup. Kapatoes capitalized on the doorstep after the ball came loose in the box for her second goal of the season and the only tally of the game.
Following the game, Kendra Bonczar, Jessica Kaufman and Caly Farina were each selected to the all-tournament team, as the trio each scored in the Hawks' 3-0 win over Saint Michael's in Friday's opening game.
Stonehill held Saint Anselm without a shot in the first half, taking eight of their own, on their way to a 13-4 advantage in shots in the game. Jamie Block stopped two shots for the Skyhawks to pick up the win.
Cassie Quattropani suffered the loss, making three saves in the first half, while Elise Bouchard kept out four Stonehill shots on goal after the break.
Offensively, Correy Murray registered both of Saint Anselm's shots on goal, while Alexis Elowitch fired two shots.
Saint Anselm returns to action at Nyack on Tuesday, Sept. 6 at 3:30 p.m.
