WINTER PARK, Fla. – Freshman Sean Doherty (Haverhill, Mass.) picked up his first two career hits in a 2-for-4 day, but Saint Anselm College fell to Rollins College, 15-0, on Friday afternoon at Alfond Stadium in Winter Park, Fla.
The Hawks (1-9) also received 1-for-2 days from Shaine Carpenter (Florham Park, N.J.), Jason Turner (Milton, Mass.), and Vincent Fortini (Southwick, Mass.), while Paul Trabucco (Salem, N.H.) went 1-for-3 at the plate.
Trabucco suffered the setback on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up eight runs (three earned) on nine hits. Clayton Welch (Manchester, N.H.) struck out a pair in 1.1 innings, while Justin Kerhulas (North Reading, Mass.) and Jonathan Dunn (Nashua, N.H.) each had an inning of work and combined to give up three hits and only one earned run.
Saint Anselm wraps up their spring break trip tomorrow afternoon with a doubleheader against Concordia starting at 11:00 a.m. at Rollins College.
