St. Thomas Aquinas won a pitcher's duel in game two, scoring the only run of the game in the third inning of a game that featured just eight combined hits in seven innings.

Joseph Pena singled to center to start the bottom of the third, stole second, advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored on a ground ball off the bat of Greg Dawber. Pena and teammate Nicholas Gargan each had two hits in the win.

Saint Anselm threatened to tie or take the lead in the top of the seventh. With one out, Nick Bragole singled to left and Paul Trabucco reached on an error, giving the Hawks two on with one away. After a ground ball left runners at second and third with two outs, Bragole tried to score on a pitch in the dirt but was out at home to end the game.
