Women's Soccer Plays to Scoreless Draw at Saint Michael's

COLCHESTER, Vt. – A women's soccer matchup pairing evenly-matched teams resulted in just that—a 0-0 tie as Saint Anselm and Saint Michael's split one point in Tuesday's Northeast-10 matchup.

Statistically, Saint Anselm (4-1-2, 2-1-2 NE-10) tallied three more shots, but Saint Michael's (3-5-1, 2-3-1) recorded two more saves. Sophomore Cassie Quattropani (East Hartford, Conn.) saved four shots and senior Gabriella Primera (Kennett Square, Pa.) added one to team up for a shutout.

The Hawks also got a big play from senior back Abby Rumph (Fair Haven, N.J.), who, with heels on the goal line, cleared a Purple Knight threat to safely preserve the tie.

The Hawks will return to action Saturday for an evening matchup against Southern Connecticut State. Game time against the Owls is set for 5 p.m. in New Haven, Conn.
