MANCHESTER, N.H. – Freshman Katie Roberts (So. Windsor, Conn.) captured her singles match, but the Saint Anselm College women's tennis team was defeated by Assumption College, 8-1, Friday afternoon in its first spring match at the Saint Anselm Outdoor Tennis Courts. The match finished indoors at the Carr Center due to rain.
The Hawks drop to 2-9 on the season and in Northeast-10 play, while the Greyhounds improve to 6-11, 5-6 NE-10.
Roberts earned a 9-7 decision at No. 6 singles against Allison Gorman.
The Hawks return to action Tuesday, April 15 at 2:30 p.m. as they wrap up their season by playing host to American International College.
