WATERBURY, Conn. – Six different Hawks contributed offensively as the Saint Anselm College volleyball team gained a 3-0 victory over Post University on Sunday afternoon at the Drubner Center.
With the win, Saint Anselm will jump to 4-2, while Post falls to 0-5.
Freshman Brennah Gladwill (Citrus Heights, Calif.) led the Hawks with nine kills, while junior Natalie Steinwart (Aurora, Ill.) and senior Kyla Gustavson (Nashua, N.H.) each recorded eight. Junior Holland McNabb (Huntington Beach, Calif.) added seven, while junior Melissa Ouellet (Salem, N.H.) and sophomore Lauren Oxley (Bristow, Va.), added five and six, respectively.
In addition to her eight kills, Steinwart also added 32 assists and five digs.
Defensively, Gustavson posted double digits in digs for the third game in a row with a team-high 15, in addition to junior Melissa Jewett (Newton, Mass.), who chipped in 12.
The Hawks return to the court Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. when they travel to Merrimack College.
