HANOVER, N.H. – Senior Robert Kelly (Aurora, Colo.) and sophomore Mike Hayden (Cranston, R.I.) each drove in a run, but the Saint Anselm College baseball team suffered a 12-2 loss against Dartmouth College on Wednesday afternoon at Biondi Park.

The Hawks dip to 15-21-1 on the season, while the Big Green, who play in the Division I Ivy League, improve to 23-6.

Dartmouth jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first on a two-run single by Jeff Keller. Matt Parisi's sacrifice fly pushed across another run in the second before the Big Green plated a pair in the third to push their lead to 5-0.

Joe Purritano's run-scoring single brought in a run in the fourth before a three-run fifth stretched the lead to 9-0. An RBI double from Chad Piersma made it an even 10 in the sixth and Dartmouth tacked on two more to bring the score to 12-0 in the seventh.

Saint Anselm finally climbed on the board in the eighth on an RBI groundout by Kelly and a run-scoring single to center by Hayden.
