MANCHESTER, N. H. – Senior captain Maximillian Glebocki (Wilbraham, Mass.) netted a pair of goals as the Saint Anselm College men's soccer team took down Le Moyne College 2-1 Saturday afternoon on Melucci Field.
The Hawks now stand at 2-3-1 on the season, 2-0-0 in NE-10 conference play, while the Dolphins drop to 1-4-0, and 0-2-0 in league play for their 2012 campaign.
Saint Anselm struck first at 29:32 when Brian Ayers (North Potomac, Md.) sent a direct kick into the middle of the box finding Glebocki, who headed the ball into the right side of the net past Le Moyne goalkeeper Matthew Silva.
The Dolphins would then tie the game at one in the 51st minute when Cal Finch sent a direct kick flying through the box and into the back of the net past a diving Eric Moriarty (Center Harbor, N.H.).
The Hawks took back the lead with 10:25 left in the game when George Lamptey (Worcester, Mass.) crossed the ball into the middle of the box to find Glebocki, who headed the ball into the right side of the net, for his second goal of the game.
Moriarty saw five shots, making four saves, while Le Moyne keeper Silva added four saves to his credit.
Saint Anselm had 13 shots on the day just edging Le Moyne who had 12.
