Southern New Hampshire pushed its first run across on a sacrifice fly to left field with one out in the sixth. The Penmen then put four on the board in the seventh inning, with the first coming on a sac fly before a two-out, three-run double by Tim Rines followed a fielding error on a ground ball that would have ended the inning.

Sophomore William O'Connor (Worcester, Mass.) pitched the seventh, relinquishing four runs – one earned – on three hits, while striking out two. Freshman Zachary Brian (Stoneham, Mass.) tossed the final inning as he allowed a hit, issued two walks and recorded one strikeout.
