MANCHESTER, N.H. - Despite a penalty kick conversion by Justin Colella (Wilmington, Mass.) against his brother, Adam, the Saint Anselm College men's soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision Tuesday evening at Grappone Stadium on Senior Day.  With the victory, the Skyhawks improve to 10-7 overall on the season and improve their Northeast-10 Conference record to 7-5.  The loss drops the Hawks to 6-9-2 on the season and to 3-8-1 within conference play.

Prior to the contest, the Saint Anselm College athletic department and Head Coach Peter Ramsey honored five graduating seniors, including Colella, Joshua Rocco (North Reading, Mass.), Andrew Parker (East Haddam, Conn.), Justin Labonte (Pembroke, Mass.) and Keesen Howe (Norwich, Conn.).  The players were honored in a 10 minute ceremony, taking place in front of a large and appreciative Grappone Stadium crowd.

In game action, Michael White of the Skyhawks recorded a hat trick by scoring the first three Stonehill goals.  The game winning goal was scored by White at 33:03 of the first half, roofing a ball past Hawks goaltender Eric Moriarty (Center Harbor, N.H.) who was unable to stop White who was on a breakaway opportunty.

White's first goal was scored off of a header within the box by Mark Bolster at 16:54 of the first half.  Bolster assisted White's third goal of the game and 10th of the season at 52:38 after a one-touch pass carried White in front of the defense, who scored again on a breakaway opportunity.

Colella scored his first goal of the season at 68:10 of the second half after a foul within the box.  The goal was scored against his brother, Adam Colella, who was the starting goaltender for Stonehill in the contest.

Moriarty turned aside three-of-six shots on goal and drew the loss.  Colella halted five-of-six Saint Anselm shots on net in the contest.

The Hawks return to action this Friday, Oct. 28 as they host the University of New Haven in a 3:00 p.m. contest at Melucci Field in what will be the final game of the season for Saint Anselm.
