Colchester, Vt. (September, 28th) – The
Saint Anselm Hawks volleyball team played their first road
conference match this evening at Saint Michael's College. The
Purple Knights defeated the Hawks 3-0, which drops Saint
Anselm's record to 0-7 overall (Northeast-10, 0-3). The win
improves Saint Michael's record to 7-5 (Northeast-10,
3-1).
Junior setter Rachel Flaherty (Cold Spring,
N.Y.) assisted on 27 of the 30 kills by the Hawks.
Charlotte Tencza (Greenfield, Mass.) led the Hawks
in kills with six, and added a dig. Samantha Elliot
(Cumberland, R.I.) recorded five kills and four digs,
while Margaret Tereschuk (Mission Viejo, Cal.) had
seven digs.
The Hawks return to the court this Friday, October 1st when they
travel to Adelphi. The match with begin at 7:00 pm.
