Garden City, N.Y. (October 1st) - - The Saint
Anselm Hawks volleyball team played on the road this evening in a
Northeast-10 Conference match at Adelphi University. The Panthers
defeated the Hawks in straight sets, 3-0, which drops Saint
Anselm's record to 0-8 overall (Northeast-10, 0-4). The win
improves Adelphi's record to 8-5 (Northeast-10, 4-0).
The game scores ended 25-12, 25-14, 25-12.
For the Hawks, freshman Kylie
Kozlowski (Quincy,
Mass.) led the team with five kills and one dig.
Junior setter Rachel Flaherty
(Cold Spring, N.Y.) assisted on 11 of the 15
kills by the Hawks. Samantha
Elliott (Cumberland, R.I.) recorded two kills
and one dig, while Margaret
Tereschuk (Mission Viejo, Cal.) led the Hawks
defensively with fifteen digs.
The Hawks return to the court tomorrow in a tri-match against Pace
University and Mercy College. The tri-match, which will be held at
Pace, begins at 12:00 pm.
