Manchester, N.H. – The Saint Anselm
College women's volleyball team played their first home match of
the season this afternoon, taking on the Franklin Pierce Ravens in
a non-conference matchup. The Hawks fell short, losing the match
3-0, dropping their overall record to 0-4 overall (0-0, NE-10). The
win improves the Ravens record to 3-1 overall (0-0, NE-10).
The Hawks were led by Rachel Flaherty
(Cold Spring, N.Y.) who had 13 assists in the match.
Samantha Elliot (Cumberland, R.I.) had four
kills and a service ace, while Lauren Ross
(Dracut, Mass.) added three kills. On the defensive side,
Margaret
Tereschuk (Mission Viejo, Cal.) had five digs
for the Hawks, two go along with four from Lindsey Edwards
(Nashua, N.H.).
The Hawks will next play on September 22nd when they play their
first Northeast-10 Conference game at home against Southern New
Hampshire University. The match is scheduled to begin at 7:30 pm in
Stoutenburgh Gymnasium.
