Colchester, Vt – The Saint Anselm men's
soccer team played their first game of the DoubleTree Classic at
Saint Michael's against Bloomfield College this afternoon. The
Hawks fell to the Deacons by a final score of 4-0, which drops the
Hawks overall record to 0-3 overall (0-0, NE-10) and brings
Bloomfield's record to 4-0 overall.
For the Hawks, Cliff Parker
(Cromwell, Conn.), Andrew Parker (East
Haddam, Conn.) and Justin Labonte
(Pembroke, Mass.) all had a shot on goal and totaled five
shots between them. In goal, Eric Moriarty
(Center Harbor, N.H.) made two stops for Saint Anselm,
giving him 15 on the season.
Senior Dwayne Reid (Bronx, N.Y.) scored three
goals in the contest for Bloomfield bringing his season total to
four.
The Hawks return to action tomorrow morning at 10:00 am to take
on Saint Thomas Aquinas in their second game of the DoubleTree
Classic.
