MANCHESTER, N.H. -- The Saint Anselm women's
tennis team hosted the Bentley University Falcons this afternoon in
the Hawks' final home match of the season. The Hawks took the
first lead with an 8-5 victory in No. 1 doubles. After the
Falcons won the remaining doubles matches 8-3 and 8-5, the Hawks
picked up victories in first and second singles to go ahead 3-2.
However the Falcons won the final four singles matches to take a
6-3 victory and break the tie for fifth place in the
Northeast-10. The win lifts the Falcons to 9-8 (8-4 NE-10),
while the Hawks fall to 7-5 (7-5 NE-10).
The Hawks conclude the regular season on Friday afternoon, when
they travel to Stonehill College in a Northeast-10 match beginning
at 3:00 pm.
