Rindge, N.H. (October 20th) - - Holding the No.
3 ranked Ravens scoreless until the 77th minute, the Saint Anselm
men's soccer team fell on the road tonight to Franklin Pierce, 1-0.
The loss drops the Hawks record to 4-11-1 overall (3-7-1,
Northeast-10), while the win improves the Ravens record to 11-1-1
overall (9-0-1, Notheast-10).
Mark Kotsopoulos
(Shrewsbury, Mass.) held the Ravens in check through the
first 45 minute period. He made two saves, while Franklin Pierce
goalkeeper Vinny Papageorgiou (Wilmington, Mass.)
made two saves as well to keep Saint Anselm off the score sheet.

Howe (Norwich, Conn.) and Justin Labonte
(Pembroke, Mass.) each put a shot on target for the
Hawks.
The game remained scoreless into the second half until
Shaun Taylor (Isle of White, England) netted the
game-winning goal in the 77th minute, lifting the Ravens past the
Hawks.
In the game for Saint Anselm, Howe took two shots, while Labonte
and Justin Colella
(Wilmington, Mass.) each had a shot on goal. Kotsopoulos
made five saves in the contest.
The Hawks take the field again this Saturday at home against
American International College at 2:00 pm. Before the game kicks
off, the Hawks will recognize the 2011 graduating seniors for their
contributions to the team.
