Springfield, Mass. (January 30) -- A 15-2 run to start the second half quickly pushed a three-point halftime lead into double digits as Saint Anselm pulled away for a 68-51 victory over American International at Butova Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.

After the lead went back and forth for the first 11 minutes, the Hawks regained the lead at 15-14 on a jumper from Greg Vetrano (Andover, Mass.). Just 13 seconds later, senior Branimir Zeko (Mississauga, Ontario) scored on a layup to give the Hawks the lead for the good and the visitors pushed the edge up to five before taking a 29-26 lead into the halftime break.
