MANCHESTER, N.H. - The Saint Anselm women's
soccer team travelled to Albany, N.Y. this afternoon to take on the
No. 3 Saint Rose Golden Knights. After 90 minutes of play,
the Hawks were unable to score, and fell to the Golden Knights by a
score of 1-0. Today's contest marked the sixth shutout win
this season for the undefeated Saint Rose Golden Knights (9-0, 6-0

The Golden Knights got off to a quick start as, at 8:30,
Gianna D'Errico (Shrewsbury, Mass.) sent a
crossing pass from the right side of the box to her twin sister
Nicola D'Errico (Shrewsbury, Mass.), who put the
Golden Knights on the board. The goal represented the only
scoring of the game, as the Golden Knights held off the advancing
Hawks to win 1-0.
The Golden Knights outshot the Hawks 19-4, 15 of which came in
the second half of the game. Hawk goalkeeper
Jacqueline Cooney (Braintree, Mass.) had nine
saves in the game, Golden Knight keeper Deanna Esposito
(Sayville, N.Y.) had two saves in the first half and
Susan Cowan (West Boyleston, Mass.), who came in
to play in the second half, had none.
The Hawks (5-4-1, 4-3 NE-10) return to action next Saturday,

Panthers in Northeast-10 Conference play. The game is
scheduled to begin at 1:00 pm.
