MANCHESTER, N.H. - The Saint
Anselm volleyball team traveled to Andover, Mass. on Tuesday night
for their first away match of the season against the Merrimack
College Warriors. The Hawks, coming off a 2-0 weekend at
home, fell to the Warriors in three straight games. Merrimack
improves to 7-2 (0-0, NE-10) and Saint Anselm drops to 3-2 (0-0,
NE-10).
After just 56 minutes of play, the Merrimack Warriors defeated
the Hawks in three quick games with scores of 25-11, 25-15, and
25-12. Charlotte Tencza (Greenfield, Mass.)
led the team in kills with seven, while Rachel
Flaherty (Cold Spring, N.Y.) had 14 set assists in the
game. Merrimack junior Heidi Wroblicky (Irvine,
Calif.) led both teams with five service aces in the
match.
The Hawks return to action this Saturday when the travel to
Orangeburg, N.Y. for a tri-match against Philadelphia University
and Dominican (N.Y.). The competitions are scheduled to begin
at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm, respectively. Be sure to follow all
