Worcester, Mass. (November 1) -- On Sunday
afternoon, Saint Anselm dropped a five-set match to Assumption in
Northeast-10 Conference play. No game was decided by more than four
points as the Hawks fell to 5-16 overall and 1-11 in the league.
Game finals were 25-21, 21-25, 25-22, 22-25 and 18-16.
Charlotte Tencza (Greenfield, Mass.) led the
Hawks with 14 kills in the match, while also contributing 20 digs.
Stephanie Devlin (Beverly, Mass.) also had 13
kills to go along with six digs and five blocks. Rachel
Flaherty (Cold Spring, N.Y.) posted a team-best 34 assists
and Kelly Rudolph (Winter Park, Fla.) came up with
26 digs. Aimee Drainville led the match with 21
kills for Assumption.
Saint Anselm returns to action on Tuesday night, hosting
Southern Connecticut for a 7:30 start at Stoutenburgh Gym.
