Manchester, N.H. (October 3) -- The Saint
Anselm volleyball team dropped a 3-0 final to visiting Pace
University on Saturday afternoon at Stoutenburgh Gym. The Hawks
dropped game finals of 25-18, 25-13 and 25-12.
Sophomore Charlotte Tencza (Greenfield, Mass.)
led the Hawks with eight kills in the match, while Rachel
Flaherty (Cold Spring, N.Y.) finished up with 14 assists.
Junior Kelly Rudolph (Winter Park, Fla.) had six
digs, while Stephanie Devlin (Beverly, Mass.) had
a pair of blocks.
For Pace, Victoria Pompilus had 13 kills, along
with 12 kills by Nora Rugova. Shea
Hansen posted a match-high 31 assists.
With the loss, the Hawks fall to 5-8 overall and 1-4 in the
Northeast-10, while Pace is now 9-5 overall and 3-1 in the
Northeast-10. Saint Anselm returns to action on Monday evening as
the team hosts Bentley for a 7:30 p.m. start at Stoutenburgh Gym.
