MANCHESTER, N.H. - The Saint Anselm volleyball
team travelled to Albany, N.Y. this evening to kick-off a
five-match road trip beginning at the College of Saint Rose.
Both teams came into tonight's match looking for their second
conference win, and after one hour of play, it was the Saint Rose
Golden Knights who came out victorious, defeating the Hawks in
three games by scores of 25-10, 25-19, and 25-12. The win
lifts the Golden Knights to 11-10 (2-6 NE-10) while the Hawks fall
to 5-12 (1-8 NE-10).
Junior Stephanie Devlin (Beverly, Mass.) led
the Hawks with eight kills and a .333 attack percentage.
Sophomore Rachel Flaherty (Cold Spring, N.Y.) had
16 assists and one service ace. Junior Kelly Rudolph
(Winter Park, Fla.) led the Hawks with 10 digs.
Sara Kahrs (Kings Park, N.Y.) had a match-high
nine kills for the Golden Knights, who combined for nine team
blocks and 12 service aces.
The Hawks continue their road trip tomorrow to Syracuse, N.Y. to
take on the Le Moyne College Dolphins in a Northeast-10 Conference
match beginning at 12:00 pm.
