Penn. (September 27)-The Saint
Anselm women's volleyball team dropped two non-conference matches
to Holy Family 3-0 (25-17, 25-7, 25-8) and to NYIT 3-1(21-25,
25-20, 25-22, 25-16). The losses drop the Hawks to 2-7 on the year
overall.
In the match against Holy Family, Charlotte Tencza
(Greenfield,
Mass.) and Kelly O'Dea
(Andover,
Mass.) led the Hawks with three
kills a piece. Senior Samantha Regan
(Danville,
N.H.) and sophomore Kelly
Rudolph (Winter Park,
Fla.) had a team-high four digs,
while freshman setter Rachel Flaherty
(Cold Spring,
N.Y.) put up seven assists in the
loss.
In the match against NYIT, Tencza had a team-high 10
kills, and Stephanie Mauer (S. Hadley,
Mass.) pitched in with nine
kills. Rudolph set the bar with 16 digs, while Flaherty notched 32
assists in the loss.
The Hawks return to action Wednesday, October 1st, as
they will travel to Merrimack College to face the Warriors at 7
p.m.
