N.H. (September 23)-The Saint
Anselm women's volleyball team dropped a non-conference match to
cross-town rival Southern New Hampshire University 3-0 (25-22,
25-21, 25-15) Tuesday night in Stoutenburgh Gymnasium. The loss
drops the Hawks to 2-5 on the year, while the victory improves the
Penmen to 2-5 on the campaign.
For the Penmen, Brianna Doucet
(Danville,
N.H.) had a match-high 11 kills
and 13 digs in the victory. Kim Rowe
(Exeter,
N.H.) put up 16 assists for
Southern New Hampshire, while teammate Nicky Dumond
(Tewksbury,
Mass.) pitched in with 11
assists.
For the Hawks, Charlotte Tencza
(Greenfield,
Mass.) had a team-high nine kills
and nine digs. Freshman setter Rachel Flaherty
(Cold Spring,
N.Y.) had a match-high 19
assists, while sophomore libero Kelly Rudolph
(Winter Park,
Fla.) had nine digs in the loss.
The Hawks return to the court on Saturday, September 27th, as
they will travel to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for a tri match
against Holy Family at noon and NYIT at 2 p.m.
