Anselm women's volleyball team dropped a NE-10 Conference match to
Pace University 3-0 (25-19, 25-14, 25-17) Saturday afternoon. The
loss drops the Hawks to 2-4 overall on the year and 0-3 in NE-10
play, while the victory improves the Setters to 8-3 overall and 2-0
in conference play.
For the Hawks, freshman middle-blocker Stephanie Mauer
(South Hadley,
Mass.) led the way with six kills
on the afternoon. Rachel Flaherty (Cold Spring,
N.Y.) put up 18 assists, while teammate
Kelly Rudolph (Winter
Park,
Fla.) netted 10 digs in the loss.
For the Setters, Jena Zoll
(Middletown,
N.Y.) had a match-high 10 kills.
Freshman setter Shea Hansen
(Mesa,
Ariz.) set the bar with 30
assists, while teammate Stephanie Kazmiercza
(Buffalo,
N.Y.) had 15 digs in the victory.
The Hawks return to the court Tuesday, September 23rd, at home
as they will take on cross-town rival Southern New Hampshire at
7:30 p.m.
