Conn. (September 19)-The Saint
Anselm women's volleyball team dropped a NE-10 conference match to
Southern Connecticut 3-0 (25-6, 25-16, 25-13) Friday night. The
loss drops the Hawks to 2-3 overall and 0-2 in NE-10 play, while
the win improves the Owls to 12-3 overall and 2-0 in conference
play.
For the Hawks, Charlotte Tencza
(Greenfield,
Mass.) led the way with four
kills on the night. Teammate Rachel Flaherty
(Cold Spring,
N.Y.) had a team high eight
assists, while sophomore Kelly Rudolph
(Winter Park,
Fla.) pitched in with six digs in
the loss.
For the Owls, Jenna Tammel (Spring
Valley,
Minn.) and Leah Filonuk
(Greenlawn,
N.Y.) tied for a game-high kills.
Tammel also set the bar with 10 digs, while teammate Andrea
Nolan (Ridgefield,
N.J.) had 13 assists in the
victory.
The Hawks hit the court again Saturday, September
20th, as they will travel to Pace University for a 1
p.m. start.
