Manchester, N.H. (September 16) -- The Saint
Anselm men's soccer team battled to a scoreless tie with Saint
Michael's on Tuesday afternoon at Melucci Field.
The Hawks outshot the Purple Knights by a 17-11 margin in the
game, including an 11-5 edge in the second half. Neither team could
find the back of the net though in the first draw of the season for
both teams.
John Corridan (Holliston, Mass.) made seven
saves in the shutout for the Hawks, while Jason
Burnett turned aside four shots for Saint Michael's.
Saint Anselm is now 2-5-1 overall and 0-2-1 in NE-10 play, while
Saint Michael's is now 2-3-1 overall and 0-1-1 in league play. The
Hawks are back in action on Saturday, September 27th as the team
hosts UMass Lowell for a 1 p.m. start in Manchester.
