Hawks Fall to Dominican, 2-1

North Andover, Mass. (September 13) -- The Saint Anselm men's soccer team dropped a 2-1 final to Dominican College on Day One of the Merrimack Soccer Invitational.

The Hawks took a 1-0 lead in the 32nd minute when Anthony Galluzzo (Londonderry, N.H.)  found the back of the net for his first goal of the season. Dan Kelly for Dominican tied the game with just 24 seconds remaining in the first half as he knocked in a rebound near the goal line to tie the game at 1-1.

At 66:26 of the second half, Joe Wright fired a shot that deflected in off of Saint Anselm goalie Henry Domenie (Old Saybrook, Conn.) for the game winner.

Domenie made nine saves in the loss, while Brandon Heembrock made five saves for the victory.

The Hawks are back in action on Sunday afternoon as they take on Post University at Noon at Merrimack College.
