Lowell, Mass.
(October 21)-The Saint Anselm College volleyball
team dropped a conference match to UMass Lowell 3-0 Tuesday night
at the Costello Athletic Center. The Hawks slip to 2-14 on the year
and 0-10 in NE-10 play, while UMass Lowell improves to 10-13 on the
campaign and 5-5 in conference action.
For the River Hawks, sophomore Jillian
Hadder (Yucaipa, Calif.) and sophomore
Sarah Coscia
(Pittsfield,
Mass.) each posted 12 kills,
while junior setter Nichole Rondeau
(Dracut,
Mass.) dished out 36 assists in
the victory.
For the Hawks, freshman outside hitter Charlotte Tencza
(Greenfield,
Mass.) led the way with nine
kills and seven digs. Freshman setter Rachel Flaherty (Cold
Spring, N.Y.) put up 16 assists, while sophomore
libero Kelly Rudolph (Winter
Park,
Fla.) had a match-high 13 digs in
the loss.
The Hawks return to action Saturday, October 25th, as they will
host Assumption at Stoutenburgh Gymnasium at 11 a.m.
