Anselm women's volleyball team dropped a home conference match to
Stonehill College 3-0 (25-22, 25-8, 25-18) Saturday morning at
Stoutenburgh Gymnasium. The loss drops the Hawks to 2-13 overall
and 0-9 in conference play.
For the Skyhawks, Michele Thornhill
(Canyon Lake,
Calif.) had a team-high 10 kills.
Therese Mance (Milwaukee,
Wisc.) notched a game-high 12 digs, while Andrea
Wirth (Mesa,
Ariz.) put up 32 assists and had
11 digs.
For the Hawks, Charlotte Tencza
(Greenfield,
Mass.) had a match-high 12 kills
and also had eight digs. Sophomore libero Kelly Rudolph
(Winter Park,
Fla.) pitched in with 11 digs,
while freshman setter Rachel Flaherty
(Cold Spring,
N.Y.) put up 21 assists.
The Hawks return to action Tuesday, October 21st, as
they will travel to UMass Lowell for a 7 p.m. match.
