(October 14)-The Saint Anselm women's volleyball
team fell to Franklin Pierce 3-0 (25-8, 25-13, 25-15) in
Northeast-10 Conference action Tuesday night.
Ravens senior Nicole Buchholz
(Broadlands,
Virginia) recorded a match-best
11 kills. Senior Karissa Hookstadt
(Camarillo,
Calif.) dished out a match-high
37 assists while junior Katie Ristow
(Miami,
Fla.) and senior Emily
Schultz (Salem,
Wisconsin) led the way with nine
digs each.
For the Hawks, freshman Rachel Flaherty
(Cold Spring,
N.Y.) keyed the offense with 11
assists as freshmen Stephanie Mauer (South
Hadley,
Mass.) and
Kelsey Rhodes
(Nashua,
N.H.) each notched four kills.
Sophomore Kelly Rudolph (Winter
Park,
Fla.) led the Hawks defensively
with a match-high 10 digs.
The loss drops the Hawks to 2-12 overall and 0-8 in NE-10 play,
while the win improves the Ravens to 11-14 on the year and 4-4 in
conference play.
The Hawks return to action on Saturday, October 18th, as they
will host Stonehill College at 11 a.m.
